The Love of Adoption

Adoption means so much more than just taking in another person and giving them a place to live. It’s about loving a person as though they are your very own and making them a complete and unconditional part of your family. I believe that God puts a burden on the hearts of the people that choose to go this route and a love for a child they have never even met. I believe that these people will cry over this child before they even meet this little one and long for them to be in their arms. I believe that adoption, just like birth, was already been foreseen by God and that He prepares all the parties involved. I believe that the gift of an adoption is one of the most beautiful gifts that can be given to anyone.

My family has always sung the praises of adoption. When I was six my parents started their adventure into the world of adoption. When they started, I don’t think they ever thought they would be where they are today or even imaged going through the heartache and pain they have felt for each and every child that has crossed their path. But because of this journey my parents have chosen, I have three amazing sisters; Johnna, Ashley and Leigha. They all come with their own set of baggage, but at the end of the day they are still a piece of us. Though blood doesn’t bring these hearts together; the love of family and the dream of our parents is what make us all one.

Though I could talk forever about my family and our journey, that’s not what this post is about. I’m here to help a friend; a friend I have known for a while and have great compassion for. For a short time she was even my boss! ;) I see her heart and her longing for a child from a country she has fallen deeply in love with. She is inspirational and her journey is enlightening.

Angie and Clint Weldon have (since I can remember) had a heart for China. They long to have a child from this country and a little girl to call their own. They have started the process of this adoption and with that comes many costs. They are, however, trusting God to provide! I believe that I can do my part and help a friend by telling all you faithful followers of mine about this cause and asking you to join in and help them receive this amazing gift.

Head over to their adoption blog now and ready their story! Right now, they are even doing a sweet giveaway and you can be entered into that giveaway if you donate to this cause. You might have the chance to win a brand new Wii!!! Now… what’s the harm in that?!?!

This family is truly amazing and they have a great story! I hope that each of you reading this can see that, and will prayerfully consider sowing into this family’s life. Do whatever is placed on your heart and help bring completion to the vision they have for the Weldon family.
