I realized that I have really not talked at all about our little one or how he or she is doing! I have been getting emails from a bunch of you asking how I’m doing or how the baby is doing so I thought I would take a moment to inform all who are interested. I didn’t know what to write about so I copied this pregnancy list from a fellow blog friend blog – Rachel! This is how she kept us up to date on her pregnancy (now almost ready to POP).
How far along? 17 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: Ok, so I hate talking about this, I stay far away from the scale at home as much as possible until I go to the doctors when there they HAVE to weigh you. When I was pregnant with Jayden by this time (17 weeks) I had gained all my weight for the entire pregnancy… according to my doctors that was 25lbs. I was scared to death that I would be the same way this time around as well. But thank goodness I have only gained 9lbs to date, which still might seem like a lot but my doctor said that it’s totally fine to weigh that amount right now and I’m doing much better than my first pregnancy with my weight. Gotta be happy about that! MY husband likes to say that most of the weight is in my boobs though! ;)
Maternity clothes? I’m finally busting out of all my “regular” shirts and have started to beg all my friends that have been preggo to let me borrow their maternity cloths. Jesse and I don’t really have the funds to buy all new clothes so I have been working with what I’ve got! By this time with Jayden I was in size medium but this time around mediums are still pretty big on me.
Stretch marks? Do stretch marks from the first kid count? The ones from the first pregnancy (That I only got in the LAST TWO WEEKS of being pregnant with him) are the only ones I have!
Sleep: I have my good and bad nights. I wake up a lot with RLS… which is so weird! But I do have to say it’s getting better.
Movement: Not this week… but I felt the little one move last week. I’m trying to be very receptive to it, but as this stage it’s sometimes hard to know.
Food cravings: Hot wings!
Gender: Don’t know!
Labor Signs: I sure hope not!
Belly Button in or out? I think I might be the only one in the world to have my belly button already popping way out at only 17 weeks. This crazy occurrence is because of my umbilical hernia; people have told me that I should put a Band-Aid on it… but I kinda like it! This is me… belly button and all! It goes away after the baby is born.
What I am looking forward to: Seeing my baby at my 20 week appointment. Though we’re not finding out the sex I can’t wait to see him or her!
Weekly Wisdom: Every person is different and every pregnancy is different. Sometimes you might think you know how someone else is feeling… but no one ever really does. You know your body the best. :)
Milestones: None really, at this time.
