Jesse and I celebrated our 6th anniversary on December 20th. Not expecting much I assumed that it would be like all the rest and we would have a lovely dinner to celebrate and maybe get someone to baby-sit for the night. In my attempts to be an awesome wife, a few days before our anniversary I desperately tried to get Eagles tickets and surprise him by taking him to the game, but no matter what I did I couldn’t get them!
Well, it turned out that was a good thing because the morning of our anniversary he told me that he had something special planned. He was like a little school boy… really excited! He looked at me and told me that he had planned a trip to New York City to see it in all its Christmas glory. A few months back I had mentioned to him that I would love to do that with him one day, not expecting at all he heard me or would even plan something like that! I have never been so surprised or blown away by the amount of effort or thought he has put into our special day.
The time was amazing! We took a train only a few blocks from our house all the way into NYC. It was so cold, but we had a blast. He took me to all the places I wanted to see and more. We stayed at his aunts in Bronxville and then headed back into the city the next day. I think it was the most fun we’ve had in a really long time and we REALLY enjoyed spend time with just each other! We laughed, had a ball and took tons of pictures. I was just disappointed I didn’t have my good camera with me!

How fun! And the first thing I noticed on that hamburger menu were the calories!!! Yikes! I had forgotten that New York does that on all their menus.
